Bette Freedson, LCSW, LICSW, CGP is a psychotherapist, author and teacher. Bette’s books Other Realms, Other Ways: A Clinician’s Guide to the Magick of Intuition and Soul Mother’s Wisdom: Seven Insights for the Single Mother are available.
Bette is also a contributing author for ERICKSONIAN THERAPY NOW: The Master Class with Jeffrey K. Zeig, PhD. Her first book Soul Mothers’ Wisdom/Seven Insights for the Single Mother received high praise from the Midwest Book Review in 2015. Bette was a guest blogger for Somatic Psychotherapy Today from 2016-2018.

Trained in clinical hypnosis, Bette specializes in stress management, resiliency tools for parents and children, recovery from trauma, and creative uses of intuition. She is also a specialist in groupwork practice. Bette’s programs are designed to offer understandable and applicable tools that fit the specific needs of each group or organization. Participants in Bette’s seminars become empowered and re-energized, fortified with clear concepts and specific tools for living and working more successfully and peacefully.
Bette has been a frequent presenter for conferences of the Milton H. Erickson Foundation, the Sweetser Training Institute, AdCare of Maine, NASW, and other venues, including a weekend course at Kripalu, entitled “A Woman’s Sacred Journey.” Other presentations have included the Attorney General’s Office of MA, The Dana Farber Cancer Center, The Northeast Society for Group Psychotherapy, and assisted care residences.
Bette is a member of Northeast Society of Group Psychotherapy (NSGP), American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) and National Association of Social Workers ( NASW). She is a past member of CAYA, the NASW Specialty Practice Section on Children, and Adolescents and Young Adults.
